What is a card security code (CSC)?

The card security code (CSC), or card verification value (CVV), is a three-digit code you can find on the back of your debit/credit card.* It provides you with an increased layer of protection against debit/credit card fraud.

When you pay for your subscription or gift card on, we ask for the CSC to validate your transaction: just enter the last three numbers on the back of your card (circled in green in the picture below).

*Exception: American Express cards have a four-digit code printed on the front side of the card above the number.
